Joba's better than Buccholz
joba's changeup is questionable now? well, that's news to me. just because you haven't seen the pitch doesnt make it questionable. his curve and change are better than you realize. and yes, i've been to trenton to watch him pitch so i've seen the pitches. when he's throwing them consistently, they have movement and he has control. you'll see that this season if he starts the season in the rotation.
if you read what callis said, he basically admitted the rankings w/buchholz and joba are meaningless and neither is really above the other. considering buccholz's success starting already, that is basically an admission to joba's better potential. his fastball blows buccholz's away and while buccholz has two ++ secondary pitches, joba's slider is better than either his curve or his change. those two pitches are very very good but joba's slider is on another level.
